Reading WEARING THE LION and listening to LONDON FALLING

Started seriously reading WEARING THE LION yesterday, and I feel like John Wiswell is another one of those authors that I really should pay more attention to. I've seen a few Hercules retellings, but I think this is the first one where I really felt for the guy and what he went through. I think it's also a factor that this Hercules is basically just a guy who wants to be kind. Plus, it is kind of hilarious.

And then because I've been feeling that I've been skirting the surface of existence lately, I thought I'd also get another book in. So started listening to the audiobook of LONDON FALLING (Patrick Radden Keefe). It is kind of gripping, and I would never want to be in his mother's shoes.

Oh, and I also started reading ONE PIECE last night, because I may as well get more out of my Shonen Jump subscription than reading the new Dandadan chapter once every 1-2 weeks. I thought it was fun!

So, trying to get back into the quiet of just reading, as opposed to the whirlwind of events, some of which were much less organized than I'd like. (Just to be clear, it wasn't the ones from people we regularly work with or worked with before.)
